  About Us

Hello my name is Heather and I¡¦m the person behind Cherry Creek Designs. I started making jewelry after taking a class shortly after my daughter was born and knew I needed to learn more about everything to do with jewelry. I¡¦ve taken classes off and on through out the last 3 1/2 years and have found I really love this. I hope it shows in my jewelry. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed making for you.

Behind Chickengirl Design is Jannie Ho, a freelance illustrator in the children's publishing industry. Her work can be seen in books, magazines, and various children's products. From her love of making things, a line of paper goods were created, inspired by Japanese packaging, retro graphics, and always with a sense of humor. For more of her art work, visit www.chickengirldesign.com, or her shop at www.chickengirldesign.etsy.com.

The Donut Lounge, created by Donna Buenaventura, combines her love for corniness, cuteness, and food! Most of her products are "goodies that cater to your cravings" as they incorporate some of the many foods we all love to endulge in, but can't always get to. You can find everything from paper goods to plushies because she can never sit still with just one medium of craftivity. Hope you enjoy these goodies just as much as she has enjoyed making them!

Isabella Smiles - Sun and surf and island life inspire me to constantly create. I have always made things but it wasn't until I held a pair of pliers and with some beads and wire back in 2005, finally found an outlet for my creative energy. So with the prompting of family and friends, I began to share my creations internationally. I am extremely grateful to the awesome teachers here in Hawaii that I continue to learn from and expand my jewelry-making skills. My biggest hope is that my creations brighten the day of the person wearing them.

Komodokat Designs is the brainchild of Jennifer Chen, a.k.a. Komodokat. Conceived in 2007, due to a love for the kawaii, whimsical, sardonic, ironic and paradoxical, Komodokat's creations encompass a humor, curiosity and even morbidity of life's everyday mysteries. Komodokat is an artist and freelance Graphic Designer that resides in Houston, Texas. Her works span the gamut of mediums, including fine drawings, paintings, illustration and more. Her greatest goal is that all who come into contact with her creations, are therefore inspired to create themselves!

LOOKA jewelry is designed and created by Elizabeth Ryan. Hand-fabricated from sterling silver and fine silver, 14K gold and copper LOOKA jewelry is inspired by the 'little' things. As of lately some of the jewelry is directly inspired by 'Lenny,' the bunny that loves to keep the artist company while she's at work. All of the work is created with a sense of humor and a love of metalsmithing. Elizabeth received a BFA in small metals/jewelry from Mass College of Art and is living in Massachusetts. You may view more of her work at: www.LOOKAjewelry.etsy.com

Loverly ink was created by ucla design student, lindsay harvey, and she just loves to make things! Everything at Loverly ink is created with quality materials, a well thought out design, and a whole lot of love. Each month, bags with a new print of original computer design work are featured, making every month a loverly adventure in ink.

All of the metal frames used in oktak pouches are manufactured in Kyoto, Japan, and are of excellent quality

At Pepperina Press, Australian designer Helen Evans is devoted to original art and to creating stationery that makes people *want* to put pen to paper. Her work is inspired by 1950s fashion, quirky vintage advertisements and mid-century design. Always passionate about drawing and writing, she believes in the thrill of finding a *real* letter in the mailbox ?and she loves to create gorgeous greetings that stand out from the crowd.

Sweet Meats - In 2004, Fleischer constructed a small ham out of fleece as a personal art project, after seeing an exhibition of soft sculpture by artist Jennifer Lew. Everyone who saw the ham wanted to commission one, and a business was born. For the last two years, Fleischer ran Sweet Meats as side business while teaching middle school Computers and Home Economics. She constructed each plush toy by hand in her tiny home studio and sold them on the web and at the occasional craft fair. Despite only telling friends and family about her business, people began to find her web site--everyone from Canal+ Television in France, to CoolHunting.com. In 2007, eventually unable to keep up with orders alongside full-time employment, Lauren resigned from teaching to pursue Sweet Meats full-time.

Tender Roni - although I have had no formal training in accessory making, I have combined the sewing skills acquired growing up along with an active imagination to create an exciting line of accessories. I have chosen vinyl as my medium not only because it is animal free, but it comes in a large variety of different colors! Through Tender Roni I can experiment with different styles and colors that I may not normally make for just me. All of my products are both sophisticated and fun which allow customers to express their uniqueness everywhere they go. You can check out more of my products at tenderroni.etsy.com.
